Chutney

I have visited this place since it was Curry in Hurry and saw it expand, change its name and then ownership. Always convenient and decent food. But lately, I prefer not to eat food with too much red chili powder and depending on the chefs state of mind, it crosses my threshold. I understand that for lots of Indians, unless that familiar mouth burn is there, the meal is not complete - so it would not sell if the chili was toned down. Post COVID price increase also became a factor in general for all restaurant visits. I eat very little, so I would pick up one small cup of curry and come home and eat with a roti. But my visits slowed down to a trickle when they started slapping an extra charge for takeout even if I was picking up. I still will go once in a blue moon when I feel the urge for an Undhiyu. I still rate it highly for all these years of memories.

This place offers decent Indian vegetarian food. The flavours are pretty authentic and spice levels are moderate.

I don’t eat out much but this place really feels like eating at home. Food is delicious, it could be a little warmer though. The staff is also very courteous.

Best samosas in Austin. You can sort of ignore the negative reviews. They are mostly by stingy folks who are smitten because this place used to be cheaper. New owner raised prices slightly but still very reasonable and the food is good. I am fine with that.

This place has some great, authentic, quick Indian food. Perfect for take out lunch and dinner. Service and ambience is very good too. Only negative is this is a take out favorite so if you go to eat here there is no atmosphere as the place is usually empty. But anyone wanting very good Indian takeout, this is a great bet.
