Solidly-made chicken and decent sides. Spice levels, especially at the high end, can be quite variable and, at least in the case of the tenders, aren't quite as evenly distributed as I'd like. Fries are a great example of the thin, shoestring types. The hot chips are nice and all, but can feel a bit greasy. The pies are glorious; light, fluffy, tender pastry.

I need to live farther away from this place: the price point is right, the fried chicken is outstanding, the service is fine, and the deviled eggs are the best way to pass the time waiting for your order. As a result it’s impossible for fried chicken-lovers not to return. Chicken is the star here, and the menu genuflects to fried bird that comes in quarter-, half-, and full portions. Modeled after searingly wicked Nashville Hot Chicken, this variation offers graduated degrees of heat. Do not fear it.

Accompanying sides include potato salad, collard greens, slaw, barbecued beans, mac’n’cheese — all well seasoned and fresh, although the greens could do with more seasoning. Still this is the place for a very affordable, very filling meal for under $15.

But wait, there’s more: to top everything off, T22 has a full liquor license, so In addition to soft drinks diners can quaff draft beer, frozen margaritas, and a bevy of beverages. Dine in or out. Either way this is an Austin winner’s winner for chicken dinner.

Recently took a trip to Nashville and tried hot chicken for the first time. I was ecstatic when I found out Ausitn had a hot chicken restaurant. We went yesterday and I was as excited as a kid in a candy store. No joke! The place had super cute decor. The first thing you see are the pies! Yum! The staff was friendly and helpful, the food arrived crazy fast and the chicken was so tender, juicy and crunchy. We tried the Mac and cheese, beans, fries and potato salad and all were delicious. I got the ‘hot’ chicken but I feel I could’ve gone to the next heat level. It definitely brought memories of Nashville. I will recommend this place to everyone! Thanks T22 for an amazing experience!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Was pretty busy but the hostess was prompt and polite. I was happy to find the chicken options are very affordable. The sides are a bit pricey but not so much that I balked at them. The real value here is in the chicken. ???? tasty, spicy, moist, and tender chicken. Perfect crunch on the outside and just the right amount of breading. Sides were all seasoned well, with a balance of hearty beans and light and fresh slaw. The margaritas weren't half bad either. Will definitely swing by again!

Excellent chicken really good flavor and juicy. I really liked the deviled eggs and Mac n cheese but side of the Mac is really really small for the money. I sat on the outdoor patio area was very pleasurable like a picnic and our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the food and spice levels. The desert pies were great. Will drive the 25+ minutes to visit again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the great experience.
