Pao's Mandarin House

Very very good. Sesame chicken and crunchy beef are both good. Get sesame balls also

My husband and I tried Pao's for the first time. We announced this was our first time to the manager and young lady at the register when we placed our to-go order. We were asked if we wanted fried or steamed rice, but were not told that there is an "up charge" for fried rice. My husband ordered an extra egg roll after being told it was only 60 cents. It was actually $1.65 for the egg roll. We called the restaurant after we got home to inquire why our bill was higher than it should have been. We were apologized to for being told the wrong prices on things. Shouldn't they know the prices and be up front about them?

Also, we ordered 3 egg rolls total....and, only came home with 2. It shouldn't be that hard to complete a 3 egg roll order part...

The food was good and the staff was polite. Not sure if I can say that it was a great first experience...

Pao's Mandarin is one of the best chinese restaurants in the Austin area. Every dish we've had here is delicious. Just know they are closed on Tuesday which disappoints since I always seem to have a Pao's craving on a Tuesday but this team deserves a day off. Weekday lunch specials til 3PM are a great deal. Overall excellent Chinese cuisine and the decor/atmosphere is very nice and authentic as well. Definitely recommend.
