Waffle House

Very busy with long wait times on weekends. Been twice to this location; last time we ate here was an enjoyable experience; this time, just to begin with, the person to take names was slow, incompetent & didn't help bus tables to get you seated faster ....
Food was MUCH better the first time. This time the waffles were barely brown, scrambled eggs looked like broken fried eggs not scrambled & had several hard clumps I would not eat, the toast was warm bread not toast and finally the hash browns were not cooked in the center. Small, but annoying item: syrup container given to us left a pool of sticky residue when placed on table; anytime it was used it oozed another puddle.
Good things...bacon was crispy with a good taste. Price was reasonable. Servers amazingly remained polite and attentive despite the large crowd.
Will not return anytime soon.

Food was quite good. Our waitress was sweet and prompt. The manager was really nice and talking to him made it fun. Changed my perspective on Waffle House. Thanks guys!

While in Austin I had to take the family to eat at the iconic Waffle House. These are the real deal old school diner atmospheres. Food and service where excellent.
