Top notch establishment! Excellent service and even better food! If you appreciate authentic Mexican cuisine, you better stop here! If you like Mole, my choice was the Pork Shank Mancha Manteles, as close to eating in Mexico has I’ve found in the states! Also, request blue corn tortillas with your meal, amazing!

This is a cozy Mexican restaurant in South Austin located inside a small stripmall just down from a gas station. The indoor seating are is not very large but they do a decent job of rotating people in. There was live music (Thursday) while we were there and it was really nice, though for the small space it can get loud. They have a few tables outside, but looks like people mostly use them as places to wait. Would have loved to eaten outside with the beautiful weather.
The food was good, they make much from scratch and you can taste the quality. Portion size matched my expectations. Salmon was really well cooked and the sauce was really good and spicy.
Pro tip: there is a small credit card charge (~3%), pay in cash to avoid this.
If you are in South Austin looking for a place to eat, don't go to the big chain, give this place a try.

I don't usually associate strip malls with amazing food. This was a first rate interior Mexican restaurant. Wife had a margarita and loved it, so the bar has it going on, too.

I'm too full to think...it was so delicious! If you enjoy tequila and/or mezcal and delicious mole, this is your place. Do it! The place is small (cozy), but not a long wait during peak hours. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Enjoy!
