What can you say about Dan's that hasn't been said? It's better than Whataburger by a mile. Their burgers are tasty and filling and milkshakes made right there. Plus, they have great biscuits and gravy if you can manage the breakfast hours. Plus, they are an Austin staple. Everyone likes to speculate what happened between Dan and Fran that made the franchise split. You just don't get that kind of gossip out of chains.
Great food. Great price. It was our first time trying this place. Staff is great. The food was fresh and tasty. We'll definitely be back.
We've been going to Dan's since I was a kid. Their burgers are very good! Staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. It can be very crowded sometimes, but that goes to show you how popular they are. Prices are great and portions are a good size.
I just had a juicy burger with a little crunchiness around the buns. Under it was some fresh cut lettuce, onions, and tomatoes and pickles along with some hot ready to eat fries with an ice cold drink that wasn't flat like most places. The last time I was here it was called 'Fran's' but either way, I love it.
A reliable burger joint. No frills, just fast service, and filling burgers. The dining area leaves a lot to be desired, but you're really not supposed to spend too much time in this establishment. Get in, get your food, and get out.
The burgers are good, but the sizing is a bit odd. I would have liked some kind of reference as to the difference between a small, medium, or large hamburger.
The prices are fair, so if you're in the area and you want a quick bite to eat, this is a solid choice.
