P. Terry's Burger Stand

A tasty fast food burger. This makes it in the top 5 fast food burgers in Austin for me. I've never had a bad experience here and have always been consistent with the quality of the food. Everyone has their own opinions on what's the best fast food burger which is great, this place usually makes people's top 5. Good stuff check it out.

Arriving a few minutes before close is rude, but sometimes necessary when you have to drive through Austin as midnight approaches. That being said, P. Terry's food is always the same high quality. A menu with a handful of staples and nice selection between sodas, lemonade, and milkshakes more than qualifies it as the burger stand it's advertised as. They have veggie burgers if you want them, and chicken burgers if you don't feel like having beef.

It's great food.

Love P. Terry's for their veggie burgers and shakes! The only reason I gave them 1 star less is because sometimes their fries are not as warm as I'd like them to be or they're mostly the crispy bits. Otherwise they're my favorite texas fast food place. Also this location is drive through only which is nice and convenient since it's right off the highway and the staff is always friendly.

It is fairly evident that P.Terry's was created by people who must have spent significant time/effort studying an In-N-Out store prior. But P.Terry's has an enlarged menu Versus In-N-Out. Does adding a chicken sandwich, a breakfast burrito and COOKIE-Butter Milkshakes to a Burger/fry menu make for a better chain of restaurants (?) That is really your call. But the food quality and how the facility is designed and the pricing seem to all trail slightly behind In-N-Out. Regardless of food & pricing, the people at this one, P.Terry's location we're very friendly and efficient.

The burgers are solid. The wait is longer than I would expect. Don't bother using their web site or app to order ahead, it doesn't make any difference. You still wait. I'll be back, though. The value is still good for the price.
