Decided to try this restaurant when the original one we wanted to go to had almost a 2 hr wait. I loved that I was able to make a reservation online, super quick and easy too!! The reviews seemed pretty good so went for it. It was a great experience all around. It was a little loud for me, but the food and service made up for that. The steak was one of the best I have had, cooked perfectly and a great taste. I also ordered the Dijon balsamic Brussel sprouts and they were amazing!! I wasn’t sure I would like them and my awesome waiter told me to let him know if I didn’t and he would get me something I liked. It’s a little pricey, but oh so worth it!!

Bo provided amazing service. The meal came out hot and the steak had great flavor. Ordered medium rare and came out perfect. The side of veggies were grilled and the garlic mash was perfectly flavored. Also did I mention Bo was one of the best servers I’ve had.

After being the long time favorite, the last time was slightly disappointing:

I think the food preparation is different, the lamb chop is thicker cut but not as charred so less yummy. The chops tasted baked instead of broiled.
The escargot is now served out of the usual scalloped plate where each snail is swimming in a pool of butter, but the plate is not the old one. The old one was made of heavy ceramic. This new one is lightweight, and I think the butter is not as well browned as it would be in the old style ceramic.
But the popcorn shrimp is still good. And the fried mushroom is still excellent.

Great experience at Austin Land and Cattle! The meat of the Ribeye was very tender with Argentinian Steak being the best quality steak my wife has ever had. Being a shrimp lover, I would have appreciated 1-2 more shrimps for the cocktail but it was great! Mac and cheese is also a must-have!

Would definitely go there again for a dinner date or if friends coming from out of town.

A gem of a steakhouse in central Austin. Locally owned and delicious. The steak and my dish the shrimp were great. Loved that they did not charge extra for the sides of carrots and spinach. The sweet potato clam chowder was so good I wanted to lick the bowl. Don't forget to get the creme brulee for dessert.
