Excellent taco bar. We got the Brisket Taco (not on the paper menu, so you have to ask for it), Macho (Steak) Taco, and the La Guerra Chicken Taco. All were very delicious. The tortillas were freshly made and very tender. The salsas were also freshly made and excellent. The server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely return. Update: Went back and got Macho tacos, plus tried the fish taco and shrimp taco. All were very delicious.
I’ve always loved Güero’s and always will! This spot is always a favorite of mine and my husband and I visit whenever we are in Austin. I always go for the same ole dish: tamale plate with rice and beans... and I never regret it! Drinks are good and I always end up with a few margaritas.
Margarita was delicious. Steak burrito was amazing. The rice was flavorful and fluffy. We planned to go to a different place but it had an hour wait so we walked a little further and happened upon this great place. Give it a try!
Nice location, trendy crowd, however I felt the flavors were simple and not as bold as others. By that I mean that some of the dishes were not thoroughly spiced or seasoned. Keep in mind I am from the Rio Grande Valley and so we are accustomed to lots of heat in our dishes. My only other complaint was the serving size of the frozen margaritas which for $8 could have been a bit more. I would estimate they were 8 ounces worth.
