Staff is highly engaged and the teamwork is evident in every movement. Tasting menu had eleven flawless dishes plated and served with care. They made the best non-alcoholic mixed drink I’ve ever had so a big value add for people who need to avoid alcohol for any reason but still want something fun to sip. Incredibly comfortable low pomp environment, trust them when they say no dress code this place is about FOOD not clout.
Disclaimer: we eat ate these type of places every Friday. Menu is unique with uncommon ingredients like caviar. The food itself is a 8 out of 10 for this caliber of a restaurant. The cocktails could be mildly improved. The staff including logistics like food speed etc. Was a 10. Definitely a very nice establishment worth going to.
If you like experimental food this place is definitely one to try.
Unfortunately, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after we were made to wait 45 MINUTES when we had booked a reservation a month and a half in advance. I would have understood if I had to wait 15 or 20 minutes, but I felt like my time was not respected - you book a reservation to not have to wait an absurd amount of time and I felt like we might have just as well walked in from the way EVERYONE was having to wait outside.
The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the plating was beautiful, and it was clear that there was a lot of thought out into each dish but the dishes didn’t align with my personal palate - I prefer Odd Duck when it comes to new American food, they seem to actually have it together when it comes to reservations too
We are a mid-30s couple who celebrated a wedding anniversary at Hestia.
First, this has been the best meal I've had in Austin since moving here 20 months ago - hands down.
Second, the special surprises the Hestia team rolled out for us were incredibly meaningful and memorable.
We're so grateful for having such a special night with Hestia and will def recommend to family/friends. We'll be back often.
Hestia is one of those places to cherish and savor. From start to finish, you are on a culinary adventure. Everything is meticulously and carefully cooked or smoked over wood fire and it’s beautiful to see and taste. Nothing is overwhelmingly smoky - it’s so expertly executed and such a treat to enjoy as a guest. The team works cohesively to explain the magic of the dishes as it’s dropped at your table. Hestia provided us with one of our most memorable meals and we couldn’t be more grateful to the whole crew there!
