Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

First off, I’d go back. I got a Rita, crab fries and 2 crab clusters in Cajun spices (spicy) with 2 potatoes and a corn. The spices are fantastic! I wanted to eat them by themselves. I was not impressed with the $10 crab fries. Something about fries and crab don’t work for me and the dipping sauce was way too sweet. The Rita was actually really good too, I didn’t expect that. Potatoes were lovely and the corn was way over cooked and mushy. I do feel like it’s a bit pricy for what you get and the wait staff is sketch. I did love that crab bag though and next time I’ll skip the fries.

Been here twice first time was better than the second time had shrimp boil both times only this time they forgot to add my potatoes and corn in with my shrimp and sausage, when it was cooked, So had to let the staff know about the missing corn and potatoes they brought me a corn and potatoes but by that time food had started to cool down.. I'm gulf coast raised and this is one of the dishes I was raised up eating my whole life so for two key ingredients missing from the time of arrival from kitchen to table is a little disappointing still a nice eatery and atmosphere maybe need to train the Cook on Cajun cooking a little better.

First time here. Tasty....wanted fresh crawfish, was frozen. Catfish was excellent. Drinks, on point. Please add Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Hush puppies were Great. Will come back with friends. Highly recommend.

The seafood was really good. It was very flavorful & the spicy was actually spicy. Our waitress was very nice and I saw other waitresses that looked like they were having a good time with their tables as well. So it's safe to say the staff seemed like they love their job which is a plus for sure! The alcoholic drinks we had weren't good & were definitely weak on the alchol. That's the only reason for 4 stars.

Great Customer Service, fun environment, conveniently located North Austin. Food came extremely fast! Food tender but the flavor didn't pop, I ordered spicy and it was not at all. Still recommend for great service and fast food!
