    3.5 stars if i can.

We went for Sunday dinner. In short, the dry aged New York strip was cooked just right and the oysters are fresh, but the appetizer and salad is missing the mark.

For appetizer, we had the escargot dish(shown in picture) which has a creative spin with the pastry on top, but the seasoning is off with way too much lemon and parsley that doesn’t really go with the dish. Would not recommend it.

Oyster was good and fresh, as what you would’ve expect from a restaurant like this.

For salad, I would not recommend anyone to order the sliced tomato salad. It is literally several very thick slices of tomato, with sprinkles of feta cheese, olive oil, and a little bit of onion and cucumber. It is exactly what the menu said so there is that. However , I don’t think it is worth the price.

Service was good but little bit slow given it wasn’t really crowded.

J Carvers was okay! I would give a 3.5 star, but google only has whole stars. Our reservation was at 7:30pm on a Wednesday and we didn’t get seated until after 8pm. There were a bunch of other reservations waiting in this tiny waiting area and I felt bad standing right next to people eating their dinner. Normally my husband and I don’t mind waiting that long, but being pregnant, my leg started cramping which was no fun. The food itself was fine, but it felt very butter/cheese/cream-heavy. I needed a break from the dairy but there aren’t a ton of lighter options. The lobster bisque was disappointing because it was super thin + it only had one small chunk of lobster in it, and it was flavored with saffron, which I am not a fan of. The menu didn’t describe the saffron so they were kind enough to not charge us for that. Service took a while and we didn’t leave until after 10pm, so be sure to budget your time here. We were hopeful since Red Ash was amazing, but I don’t feel like I have to come back here again.

Best steak I’ve ever had. Service was great, it really felt like an experience from the restaurant vibes to choosing my own steak knife. Great drinks and the seafood and desert was also super delicious. The reason for 4 stars is because of the sides… they were not it and could not live up to the hype of everything else we had and saw. I wish there was an actual baked potato or actual mashed potato. We tried the crispy potato’s but they just did not do the trick. I’ll be back and hope the sides are upgraded. The steak, drinks, service, seafood, and dessert are all worth a trip back

I actually rate this restaurant 3 stars instead of 5. My review shows 5 stars though because this is new place and I do not wish to lower their rating as I'm sure they will get better.
Overall service was friendly and prompt. Decor and ambiance was very inviting, drinks, appetizers and sides were very good although most were very greasy and heavy. However, I was disappointed with the steak. We asked for our 40 Oz steak to be cooked Med-rare. It was not cooked to the correct temperature. I understand with the larger cuts of steak it is more difficult to cook and achieve the right temp however it can be done and this restaurant was not able to deliver on that. Additionally, I was very excited to enjoy a 50-Day dry-aged cut of meat but was disappointed to get my steak doused with their butter based sauce all over the meat which made it very heavy and overtook what could have been an exceptional meat flavor. I will probably try them again in the future hoping improvements can be made.

We were able to get in pretty quickly in a last minute reservation. Our server was super sweet and informative. We had a lot of questions about the dry age but wasn’t feeling risky enough to take the chance on it since the only options were pretty large so we ended up with a wet age. SO GOOD.

The oysters were phenomenal! A bit on the pricey side but that’s the climate we’re in.

The tomato salad was to die for!

I ordered another entree for myself but it never came, and by the time that our wet age steak came out it was past 11 so we were ready to go.

We got a bottle of wine that was exquisite.

I’ll def be back to try the dry age.

Minus 1 star because for the price ($500+ for two people) I expect no mistakes, and exceptional everything. The server got a little busy with trying to wrap up for the night that we were kinda forgotten about at the end and it ended up taking forever (and entree was missed) otherwise everything else was great.

This is a place for a nice dinner date!
