Some of the best brisket I’ve had yet. We actually came here as we were told the sides were incredible, which wasn’t our experience. Not bad at all, just not as good as we were expecting. However, if you haven’t been here it’s very much worthwhile.

    Austin B.B.Q Spot

We ordered on-line & pick up. We ordered 1 lb of each (brisket, pork ribs, regular and sausages, includes 2 different sauces, bread, pickles and onions. We also requested extra lean and more crust on our brisket. (pickles & onion go well the meats)

Ribs - The meat fell right off the bone and melted in our mouths. Super tender and juicy even after reheating the next day. Not too salty!

Sausage (Jalapeño & Regular) - Amazing sausage we ever had!. Very good quality meat blend well. Both links were our favorite as it had the right amount of kick from the spice. Smoked just right!

Brisket (Extra crust) - Best brisket. Cooked to perfection. No sauce needed flavorful all the way through and not too salty. Great quality
meat and the crust to helped to seal the flavors.

La Barbecue is a must try as they're very consistent with everything in
quality and taste! Definitely go back and we can't wait to try Franklin's
    B.B.Q. to compare

Brought a friend from out of town here, and we both agreed it was the best BBQ we've had to date. The brisket chili was excellent, and the food only got better from there. I found the pickles full of flavor and they complemented the juicy pulled pork well, in combination with a mustardy BBQ sauce. The smoked sausage had to be the favorite. Be sure to grab utensils on your way out if taking it to go, as they may not put them in the bag. Once that's sorted out, take your time and enjoy some fantastic BBQ from here!

    UPDATE:

La Barbecue is not at fault for the behavior of the serving staff, so I'm updating this review to reflect that.

The barbecue is pretty good - we tried the brisket, sausage, and all three sides. I could see this being in the rotation, but I don't think it has the caliber to make it my special occasion spot.

    ORIGINAL:

    Ate here 11/14, around 2:30pm.

The most glaring defect is that La Barbecue has neglected the most important ingredient in Texas barbecue of all - hospitality. The folks behind the counter made it clear that we were just plain lucky to be there. Especially the guy running the coffee bar. Maybe everyone was having a bad day? Still left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Brisket was great, as was the Mac & Cheese. Good range of sauces to complement both.
