Brisket (9/10): As moist and tender as brisket can be without getting mushy. Good bark. The burnt ends were a joy to eat and a testament to why the pursuit of good brisket will never cease to be a fruitful one. Perfect ratio of meat to intramuscular fat and connective tissue. I think the seasoning could’ve used a wee little bit more salt and smoke tho. I was able to detect post oak smoke when I sniffed at the brisket, but I was expecting a little more of that smoky flavor in the burnt ends. I would’ve liked to see more of a fat cap too. An expertly rendered fat cap would’ve been the cherry on the top for this already superb brisket.

Coleslaw (9/10): I liked that the coleslaw wasn’t too sweet. There was even a hint of pepper that might not be for everyone but I enjoyed it. This was great at counteracting the fattiness of the brisket.

Service (10/10): Mad respect to any bbq establishment that uses metallic utensils. While I’m a strong advocate of using your hands to eat meat, it feels much much nicer to use metallic utensils for the side than the flimsy plastic stuff that’s sadly become the norm.

Had an amazing experience eating out near the pastrami was totally worth it they're tertamisu matza was off-the-charts their chicken and mushroom juice was amazing and the fellowship with all the different people here tonight was amazing love this place cannot say enough about the hard-working crew!

We’ve been to Mum Foods twice now and both times were amazing! Definitely the best bbq I’ve had in the area. The brisket sandwiches are super good and they chop up a slab of beef fresh for the sandwiches. We tried the burnt ends and ribs and both were amazing. We agreed the ribs were some of the best we’ve ever had. Definitely recommend for some great bbq!

This place has some of the best pastrami I've ever had, it was soft and moist. It's a heavier smoked taste than you'll find in NYC, so it's almost a blend between pastrami and brisket, but I personally love that. Their brisket is super good too. I recommend getting the burnt ends in particular. The parking is good, and despite being in a seemingly dangerous area the lot itself feels safe enough to not worry about because it's inset a little bit away from the road. The people that run this place are very friendly and definitely know their stuff.
