Lovely little place, traditional Austin classic. I got the dipped custard cone and it was fast and delicious, and they were kind enough to give me a bowl and spoon when I asked (98 degrees is not custard-friendly). Would recommend the custard!

Classic Americana drive through. I go for the custard shakes and french fries, but tried the chili cheese onion dog and was better quality than I was expecting. A perfect stop off on the way home after a summer day at the springs. I'd take Sandy's over Whataburger any day, Sonic too.

The burgers were pretty good, not the best, but pretty good. The staff were friendly and and the food was served super fast. We had fun sitting in the back seating area eating and feeding the birds. Overall a cool place to visit

My friends and I were at Shake Shack having dinner, and they said not to get dessert because we're going to Sandy's. I was extremely confused why when we were at a place that had decent ice cream already, but y'all: the soft serve at Sandy's is excellent. It reminds me of Cremia in Japan, that kind of full bodied creaminess that most soft serves don't have. The chocolate vanilla swirl on a cake cone is my favorite!
