Shelton's Cafe in the Park

This is a fantastic hidden gem. We were in Austin from San Antonio and this was one of the only reasonably priced places that was open that was near downtown Austin that we could find. The food is all organic with vegan options. We had one of his breakfast plates that was the perfect amount of food to start your day!

Awesome burgers with high quality ingredients. Very delicious! The vegan hash and the homemade lemonades are also worth trying. Nice food truck under the oak trees.

Been to Shelton’s Cafe a few times now and it never disappoints! I usually get the veggie hash and add sirloin on the top. The flavors and seasonings are perfection. Streak is cooked just right with tons of flavor. It’s so dang good, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Will definitely continue to come back here.

Sumptuously! Everyone should eat here at least once! The coffee and food was absolutely amazing! This is an ordinary food truck, but the chef in it is incredible. I very often go to restaurants, but nowhere, even in the most expensive one, have I eaten such delicious and high-quality food for a very long time. I was passing through this city and now I am already at home, but I will remember this amazing breakfast for a very long time. Thank you chef 👨‍🍳 the prices are cheap and very tasty! I advise everyone !!!

Food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Definitely worth the ~$10 a person for a meal. Service was friendly and attentive. You can tell they put love into their food and running their business. I thought both breakfast sandwiches I tried were very tasty. The French toast sandwich was simple yet decadent in a way that doesn’t make you feel like a blob afterward. The Shelton Sammie was complex and a favorite. I think after trying both, my perfect order is a Shelton Sammie with a side of syrup for dipping. Though complex, I felt that the sweet component from the syrup was a welcome addition. I’ll definitely be back and tell others! Perfect low-key breakfast/brunch spot.
