We ordered the Sunflower Sea Bass and the Beef Noodle Soup. I loved the taste of the soup broth. The sea bass came with plenty of rice which if combined with the soy sauce or was delightful. For appetizer we ordered the spring rolls that came with a flavorful peanut sauce. Service was excellent as well and I especially liked that the brought us a full glass bottle of water, as I tend to have to ask for refill in most restaurants.
Good but sorta pricy but who isn't these days. Service at lunch was great and food came out quickly. The staff were very pleasant compared to the original place where the ladies seemed like they might cut you if you ask too many questions.. the food there was super great. I have hope that this location will develop the outstanding flavors of old.
As a Vegetarian I love Asian cuisine! Sunflower is and has always been the best Vietnamese Restaurant in Austin! They moved closer to me and I'm loving it. I recommend the Tofu Lemongrass 😋 👌🏽 The Vietnamese crepe is to die for. Can't wait to go back!
It’s glad to see Sunflower reopen in the new location.
Vietnamese Crepe is very good. It is not easy to cook the bean sprouts and keep them dry, Sunflower did that!!! The crepe is very crispy!! Love it!
Garlic Shrimp Pasta, the shrimp is very fresh, pasta is very tasty.
I definitely come back again!
For years, my husband and I used to go to the original location on 183 every week until they sold it to another owner. Back then it was our restaurant of choice when we went out. We are Vietnamese so we are picky when it comes to Vietnamese restaurant food. My mom is an awesome cook and Sunflower is the only Vietnamese restaurant she likes. She says it's authentic. They reopened this past week with the original cook staff and recipes and I took her today. This place is legit! We loved everything and great, friendly service. Go support them! Be patient with any growing pains they may be experiencing.
