not what youd expect for a leather bar.
located in a strip mall and rather tiny.
not many people were there on a friday night- kinda boring. had a woman bartender which kinda detracts from the whole theme. and the location is a bit farther out from the main gay bar areas in austin.
Fabulous vibes, very casual and chill atmosphere! I love Hexa’s music selection, she created a queer space that I feel very comfortable to be in. The drive to the Eagle is worth it y’all!
The Austin Eagle is a true gem that somehow transitions from a delightful daytime dining spot to a thrilling badass bar at night (not sure how they take those tables out so fast). The food is is really good. I wish they'd had a chicken fried steak night. The music is always on point. This place truly offers the best of both worlds, and is exactly what Austin needed. I do would love to see more decorations.
Great staff and customer service. So friendly and laid back. Wanna dance: hit the dance floor. Wanna chill: stay indoors or go out to the patio/outdoor area. A great time for all! Cool t- shirts too!
I have enjoyed each of my visits to The Austin Eagle. What a fun addition to Austin. Most recently, I attended a delicious brunch there. Run and get those fried potatoes! On another recent event, I enjoyed their garlic parm wings and they were the best I've had in town. The staff is fine and friendly and it's really a good, all around time. I suggest checking their social media to see what night might fight your vibe, and checking it out for yourself.
When you visit, make sure to head all the way to the back of the patio to catch some cool art and to see the red chair.
