Sweet spot. Great service. Amazing karage chicken and chicken wings ?
The fried prawns and karaage chicken were outstanding ! Perfectly fried and paired with delicious seasoned rice and kimchi. Out of this world full spectrum of flavors, deliciously spicy. I hope we’ll get to do the omakase Dinner one day .
The best for you will ever eat
I came for the chicken wings one day and came back for wings and prawns the next day. The chicken wings are non traditional and in the rainbow variety of food in Austin would not survive other wise. Their outstanding flavor combines mild sweetness in a honey flavor, just the right amount of spicy, and a hint of garlic flavor that puts these above the average wings you might be used to. Paired with perfectly cooked rice, topped with sea weed and sesame seeds this odd combination works amazing together. Take a small amount of kimchi and combine the ingredients together, you will get a meal that you will not forget. Then came the prawns. Side are the same as the chicken but the prawns will make you slap your mama. I was skeptical at first when Mike the chef told me to eat the prawn with shell on but it was fried to perfection. Prawns were fresh and crispy. The shell was not chewy as I expected it to be. It was easy to eat and the texture was something very delightful and interesting. If you want the old traditional wings and fried shrimp this is not the vanilla flavored meal you'll like, but if you wanna get out of your comfort zone and try something new, I guarantee you will be back to try the rest of the menu.
Came here for the omakase, and it was amazing. I was worried that we'd be cold sitting outside in the winter, but they zip you in quite cozy. Didn't even need the heat on.
The chef and sous were friendly, warm, and fun. Despite busily preparing us a fabulous meal, they were both willing to chat with us casually and answer the personal, prying questions I like to ask one drink in.
On to the food. There were no losers in this 11 course meal, and I didn't walk away at all hungry. I've had more expensive omakase, and honestly, I don't think this place is charging enough.
It was all delicious, and I can't wait to go back.
