“Growing up in Utopia, coffee was something old people drank in the back of B & D. I remember from time to time as a kid getting a cup and thinking I was something even though I thought it tasted awful. Coffee culture has certainly changed and Utopia has changed along with it. Postal Brews occupies the old Post Office building, hence the name Postal Brews. I ordered a large latte and a keto chocolate chip bar. The latte was a lighter tasting roast with a mild flavor but was excellent. The keto bar just melted in your mouth. The portions here are Texas sized. To answer the burning question, "Would I go back?" That is a definite yes!”

“Food and service is good. Breakfast and lunch is usually busy. No dinner service as they close at 3:00 p.m. Flour tortillas were warm and fluffy. Chips were warm and crisp. The salsa for the chips was so so. Menudo is good but sometimes could be a little warmer. Hamburgers are good but their fries were hohum. (I think their oil wasn't hot enough). Not a bad place to eat considering the limited choices available in Uvalde.”

In most Mexican food restaurants they bring chips and salsa for your enjoyment while you view menu..although here they made their own and it takes a little longer and you pay extra to order. Pricing for special of the day was moderate...$14.95 plus you pay for drinks ..chips..salsa..so a bit on the higher end. Food was fresh..and I'd rate mine at about a "7".”

“We were just stopping for the night and found Luigi's by chance. It has only been open for about a year. The menu is diverse, offering pizza or simple dishes as well as full plates in the northern Italian style of cooking. The owner and his wife came by the table after we ate to ask how our meal was. He took the time to talk a little about how he got started and his cooking style. The pasta dishes we ordered were prepared from scratch yet were served in less than 15 minutes, piping hot. The servings were generous and very filling.”
