The Downtown Hall of Fame Restaurant & Bar

Consistently delicious food (damn good chili), genuinely kind crew, atmosphere is cool (a bit loud for me at times but hey, it's a bar). Great place to hang out and have a drink. Be warned.... service is often frustratingly slow. Even if you call in the order. But, worth the wait cause the food is so good. Just...plan to wait or push for them to go faster. Your call.

The service has been really, really slow lately. The past couple of times I've taken a family member from out of town, we've had to wait up to an hour for food. Last time it was over an hour and we ended up leaving. I get things happen, but not once did our waitress update us. She sat us down, took our order, said it would be about 20 minutes, then disappeared. 45 minutes later we had to flag someone down. She said we were next. Half an hour later and nothing, not even an update. It was disappointing. We left and ate somewhere else.

I'm giving 3 stars because they always seem to be more timely with large parties in the back, so the few times I've been with a group, it was fine. Food is pretty good.

The stuffed jalapenos we had as an appetizer were delicious. The brunch burger was good. Not particularly tasty. The french fries were really good. Our service was unusually slow. The people in the next booth arrived after we ordered yet they got their food, ate it, and got the bill all before our food arrived. Waitress was a bit slow with the bill. Probably waiting too many tables.
