(September 25, 2017, 7:19 pm)Food is always great. If you're looking for a hamburger or a chicken fried steak, or a salad, you can't go wrong. This place is always busy, but it's well worth the wait. The also have the best Pie Kitchen in the state. Don't forget to save room for dessert!

Their whole theme is down home cookin', so they've got a fantastic menue of classics like chicken friend steak, chicken fried chicken, and a bunch of other things, all with a choice of sides. And of course, the Texan is one of the top five pie restaurants in the state. So we're pretty fortunate to have it right here in Hutto. They've got this Brandy Apple Pie Ala Mode, which is served still sizzling on a skillet when they bring it out to you. Pretty darn good. My only complaint is that they're not open on Mondays, but hey, there are six other days in the week.
