Old Grist Mill Smithfield

Have gone to this establishment for years. Great food and great staff., and the new building is beautiful. However, i was in yesterday for lunch with my crew and an older man, who i would assume to be the business owner, was in there. I have never in my life seen a business owner or boss treat employees as he did. He was rude and belittling. He was yelling across the store, and rudely interrupting employees while they were helping customers and trying to work. I watched a lady in front of me get rudely interrupted THREE times by him talking to the cashier, while she was being checked out. As my wife and i got checked out, i found out that it was the manager. I have placed orders with her before and she is the best of the best. I just felt bad for these employees and don't think anybody should have to work under those circumstances. 5 stars for great food and great workers.

Love that they have a drive thru! Only have gone once, the girl at the window was so nice! We ordered 4 lunch specials and in 2 of them they forgot the chips, but its fine, that happens at the other locations too.

Delicious lunch! Sandwich was good and all of the desserts looked fantastic. We decided on turkey sandwiches and the huge raspberry roll (which did not disappoint). Servings are large and prices are very reasonable.

First time visit since they opened and I was surprised what they've done with the old Sev. Great to have a such a stand-by so close. We had a great lunch. We'll go back often. Well staffed, consistently good food. Grateful they are here.

As always a favorite of mine. Great hot Ruben Sandwich and Sugar cookies always great.
