Fine dining but casual is OK. Walk-ins and reservation for 1 person are accepted(but usually after 9 pm I think). Had dates, wedge salad, bison, chocolate walnut tart. The sauce is usually quite rich, but everything was quite satisfactory(dates were so amazing).
The dinner my husband and I had at Desert Bistro easily makes it into each of our top 3 favorite meals. The atmosphere was so lovely and calm, the food was incredible, and staff were kind as well.
A bit of a wait, but well worth it!
The bacon wrapped dates were amazing! We dined here about a year and a half ago and still talk about them!
We wish this restaurant would come to the Chicago/Madison area! I would happily travel back to Moab simple to enjoy this food again!
The food here was incredible but the service rivaled it. Becca, our server, was incredible. She knew the menu in and out, and made wonderful suggestions. We started with the scallop appetizer which was incredible. Becca brought us the in-house bread that hit the spot. It was paired with a house-made butter, olive relish and a balsamic/olive oil dipping selection.
My wife had the agnolotti pasta and I had the elk. Both of the dishes were incredible. If I were returning I would get the tenderloin as it looked to be a heartier selection; the elk was great but it wasn't a large portion.
All desserts are made in house, we tried the peanut butter/chocolate cheesecake. It was absolutely decadent; we could barely finish it.
The service and food at Desert Bistro was impeccable! They were nervous about serving someone with celiac since their kitchen is so small there is a risk of cross contamination. Our server Derek was excellent in asking the chef questions and letting me know what I could have. The food was the best I’ve ever eaten. I had the pork tenderloin with Apple chutney. The sauce was so good, I ate all of it and would buy it if they sold it. They made sure I was taken care of, and I didn’t get sick. Desert Bistro is worth the food and cost.
The restaurant is cozy with about 8 tables and a small bar. The decor is Southwest local artwork, some of which is for sale.
The waitstaff is welcoming, knowledge, and provide good service.
The food is the best in town and they have great off menu specials. The homemade bread is fluffy and robust in flavors. The bacon wrapped dates are delicious and must order.
