The sandwiches are amazing, but the bread is the very best part. they will even customize a sandwich for you, putting different items on each half and individually wrap them! Love this place? I drive all the way from downtown Salt Lake City to Murray, just for their sandwiches. You would think that downtown Salt Lake would have great sandwiches?!? But, not as good as East coast Subs. No way. Do yourself a favor, if you're having a craving for a delicious sandwich order it from East Coast subs.”

“I'm Japanese (born and raised), so I know Japanese food. This place does NOT make Japanese food. It's kind of like someone saying Taco Bell is Mexican food or Panda Express is Chinese food. Don't get me wrong. The food isn't bad, just not true Japanese food. Japanese food is about getting most out of ingredients without overpowering them. This place does the opposite. You are basically only tasting excess sauce and oil they add. Saturated. I can see how Americans would enjoy it because they tend to like stronger tastes and higher fat/sodium contents. I just wish they weren't making their food under the brand name of Japan as this is disgrace to true Japanese food. With that said, if I forget that they are claiming to be a Japanese restaurant at all and lower my expectation, their food is not horrible. That's why I gave at least 3 stars.”

“Great place if you like to try different. A little more expensive, but worth the occasional splurge. They have the normal offerings (plain cheese, pepperoni, Hawaiian, etc.), but if that's all you are going for, you are missing out on bigger and better opportunities. Their California Veggie pizza is a huge hit for almost everyone in my family (except the 2 little kids who only like plain cheese). Recommended!”

“We just discovered this fabulous place today. The people who run it are VERY pleasant. But their food is AWESOME!!! We split their foot long Philly Steak Sandwich with grilled mushrooms, onions & peppers. The meat is SO TENDER & has THE BEST FLAVOR!!!! An order of fries or onion rings are only $2 each!!! “Great food. We had eggplant/shrimp appetizer - delicious and we don't even like eggplant but it was fabulous. We then had wedge salad, pasta a la vodka and ravioli. All very very delicious. We ended with tiramisu - once again delicious. Social distancing was observed and noticed sanitizing tables/chairs after each customer. Will definitely go again. And service staff was excellent - friendly and professional.”

“Took my girlfriend for a birthday lunch here and was pleasantly surprised. There was a 30 min wait for a table where we were put on the list and told we would get a text, however it never came after a long time. We finally went back in and told the hostess and was seated promptly, it seemed she was new so it wasn't a big deal. Our waiter was great and kept the refills coming. We started with the mozza sticks which were perfectly golden and full of cheesy goodness. My girlfriend had the french dip sandwich which she raved about and I had the special which was a Kobe beef burger. This burger didn't disappoint and dazzled the taste buds. I've tried a lot of burgers in Salt Lake and I think this was the best I've had. The bacon was perfectly crispy and was complimented by Jalapeno mustard and some delightful blue cheese. The fries were perfect golden spirals of potato goodness with just the right amount of salt. We will definitely be back again!”

“I LOVED the atmosphere! It was the roaring 20s for sure. They had a handful of vegan/vegetarian options which was great for our group. Our server, Adam, was sassy and fun and exactly what I would expect in a place like this. We were able to catch a show as well which left us all laughing and impressed. I felt the food left something to be desired, but the rest of my party really enjoyed theirs and the drinks were great if a little more expensive.”
