This is probably the best Ramen around here. I’m a huge fan of the Soft Boiled egg. The waiters are incredibly nice and the portion sizes are very generous. The small size fills me up.
Super yummy place! Very clean, very attentive customer service. They serve a litte salad for you at the start! They have many options to choose from. We order different things and they were all so yummy! We loved the pork buns for sure!
Great friendly and cute restaurant for everyone!
So Asa has been our favorite ramen place in Orem for a while now, but they were closed for our Labor Day craving. And while their food is excellent, the dining experience is on par with a typical (crowded) ramen lunch counter you'd find in Japan. Which brought us to Tamashi - about as good as ramen gets in the US! I had the Tonkotsu ramen which was outstanding - every bit of it - and my wife had the Chicken Katsu - also delicious and portions big enough to feed a small army. Both of us walked in hungry, but finished less than half of our huge portions. Every part of the experience was top tier from the immaculate dining room (small and intimate with a distinctive Japanese flare and so clean you could eat off the floor), friendly and accommodating staff, even down to the quality take-out containers! We visited during COVID and were impressed the staff were wearing masks when we arrived and even had separate "new"/"used" pens for signing your check. Tamashi, you've made the top five restaurant rotation at our house! See you next time.
I got the spicy chicken ramen and the thing that jumped out a ton was the pickled egg. It was sweet and tasted a bit like it had cinnamon on it. It was absolutely fantastic. This place is the best ramen in Utah count. 5 stars. I will definitely be back. OPEN SUNDAY AND OPEN FOR SEATING!
It was good but something was missing. I ordered the sukiyaki ramen. That isn't a flavor I have seen in any ramen shop in Japan but I like sukiyaki so I thought I would try it. When the ramen came it had all of the things that I expected to see in ramen. I tried a few bites and decided that for my taste it needed a little more salt. There was salt on the table and after adding that I liked it a lot more but still felt something was missing. I am not enough of a foodie to tell you what it was. Next time I will try a different dish that I can compare to something else I have had.
I did appreciate that I could to some extent season to taste. In many ramen shops their mild spiced leave me with a runny nose and watery eyes because I am basically a wimp when it comes to spicy food.
