If you think you like chicken, you need to eat here. It is so good it will ruin chicken for you any place else.

If you want beautiful, delicious food at your event, served out of the most charming vintage trailer, then you are in the right place! We just had Lazy Farmer cater our daughter's wedding at Champlain Valley Alpacas in Bridport. Literally everything was delicious--the fried chicken and honey skewers, the grilled cilantro shrimp, pork belly wraps...everyone was carrying on how delicious it was--even before dinner! Chris served our guests from his vintage trailer--so many things to choose from, and all delicious. The folks at the alpaca farm said hands down, Lazy Farmer was the best food they'd had at any wedding there this year. Can't wait to go check out his restaurant. Thank you, Chris, for making our event amazing.

This place is awesome! The food tastes great and the staff is friendly. Oh, and they have a rotating selection of craft beers. We love this place, indeed.

Others must love it too, because it can sometimes be really crowded, so get takeout or make a reservation if you aren't patient and go at a popular time.

Edit: When I reviewed this place, it was called "Pork and Pickles" and served primarily BBQ. The same people own still it, but I think they've shifted their focus slightly.

I've twice had takeout from here after tonight, and I had a really hard time giving them 4 stars after the first order...

Originally we ordered a couple weeks after opening. They were out of brisket so I ordered the ribs, which I cannot recommend to anyone. Overpriced, dry not, and not very flavorful. My girlfriend had the pulled pork and that was a bit better but not great.

That being said any restaurant will have their issues shortly after opening and anyone who thinks otherwise is probably a bit short sighted.

After many months, tonight I decided to give them another try, and this time they had brisket!

I ordered brisket, Mac n cheese and greens.

The Brisk was perfect, 10/5 stars. Mac n cheese was awesome as well. Greens were solid.

Tonight was a 5 star experience but after the first time, I'm not sure if there's a consistency issue or just that they do some things better than others.

But I know the brisket is to die for!
