Hen of the Wood - Waterbury

This place is amazing! It was recommended to us by at least 4 people and I can totally understand why. The service was phenomenal, the atmosphere was happy, and the food was OUTSTANDING! We made the stop there as part of our honeymoon and our waitress, Alexis, made it extra special. If you're I the area of Stowe or Waterbury in Vermont, you NEED to go to Hen of the Wood. Treat yourself!

Food is amazing. Quite possibly the best in Vermont. Service and attention to detail is superb. The atmosphere is romantic. Worth the trip, even better than the Burlington location. Thanks for a wonderful 10th anniversary Hen of the Wood!

Definitely a great spot for a special occasion, so have been twice in ten years. One of those places that you just have to accept yore going to spend a lot of money and so don't hold back. Food was delicious. If you can sit on the patio, do. It's a really beautiful location.

The food was delicious. They offered vegetarian options and gluten-free as well. The environment is special. There is out of of doors option for good weather next to a waterfall and brook. Limited seating so you are recommended to get a reservation. On this particular night the timing was a little off in terms of when they delivered the food but and more than made up for it that it was so tasty.

Excellent award winning restaurant right off highway i89 in Waterbury near Stowe. The food is downright delicious and the menu is always changing based on what’s fresh and best to cook with. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The space itself is gorgeous - its a 1800’s mill on a river that’s been beautifully converted into a high end restaurant. I highly recommend this place but be warned reservations are usually a month out at least so plan accordingly!
