“I'm sorry I don't have pictures. We were tired, hungry travelers. The owner welcomed us, made us perfectly cooked to order burgers. Really good fries, good coffee, reasonably priced! A must stop if you're in the area! I forgot to mention, there is an impressive selection of wine for sale as well, attractively on display(I really wish I had taken pictures, I actually had left my phone in the car. Did I mention we were weary travelers!)”

Tessie’s Tavern

Address: 88 N Rd, Bethel, VT 05032, USA

Restaurant

“We ate outdoors on the covered deck. Great view of the expansive front yard and gazebo. Walked past the cozy bar area and through the dinning rooms to be seated on the porch. Looks like they can accommodate larger groups outside on the out door patio area. The three of us had three very different items for dinner and they were all good. Bruschetta, baked cod and fish (shrimp) tacos. Basic wine selection but good. Also some good draft and bottled beer choices. Casual or semi casual appropriate. We had reservations. Would go back again!”

Creek House Diner

Address: 1837 River St, Jct of Rte 12 & 107, Bethel, VT 05032, USA

Restaurant

“We went for the first time since the fire and had dinner. We waited 30+ minutes for food. I ordered one of the specials; country fried chicken. It was overcooked, hard on the outside, and the breading just tasted like grease. My husband's steak bomb was just ok (the portion was huge though). The fries are great. Having said all this, our waitress was wonderful and very understanding. She took my food away asked asked what else I wanted. I got a grilled cheese (in the spirit of time since we already waited so long and my husband was nearly done eating). That was really good. They felt bad and it reflected on the bill.”

Tozier's Restaurant

Address: 2678 River St, Bethel, VT 05032, USA

Restaurant

“Great local place;, perched above and set back from river. A lot of seafood, some steak; friendly wait staff. Always busy, so reservations are good. There were three of us, no reservations and we didn't wait more than 10-15 minutes. Looks like a favorite for folks living in the area. Casual and they accommodate all ages. Draft and bottled beer, basic wine selection and mixed drinks. Parking in front and across the road. We noticed a take out window with soft serve ice cream as we left. Leave room for the maple bread pudding! Yum”
