Tuckerbox

What a nice cozy place this is. I was looking for a late dinner after I got to town and I'm so glad I found Tuckerbox. I ordered the lamb casserole and it was excellent. The lamb was tender and flavorful and the mix of vegetables they used worked well with the lamb. There was just a bit of heat to the spice blend which is always welcomed by me. For dessert I ordered the almond pudding. It was a nice, delicate pudding and was so good. I wanted to try their baklava but I was so full I just couldn't eat any more.

Delicious food, great selection of drinks. Very nice that they listed which dishes were gluten free, vegan, or halal. Not five stars since the staff wasn't knowledgeable about the other food allergens that were in the dishes, such as dairy, and had to go ask the kitchen more than once and still came back saying no meat dishes were available without dairy, before a second staff member finally got us a solid answer on what dishes were possible for our group. Turned out there actually were some options after all. Glad we asked more than one staff member, or we would have not had any options and would have left unsatisfied. It would be helpful to just list out the allergens in the first place and save everyone the trouble.

A quiet and thoughtful place to bring company or dine alone. The food is exquisite and the staff are courteous. The Tuckerbox is an easy favorite and a go-to when friends visit from away.

I love this place! Wonderful lunches and dinners! I haven't had breakfast there yet, but plan to on my next trip up! We visit every time that we are back home!

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Our server was excellent, she gave us some great recommendations. Food was delicious. Was our first time there but will definitely not be our last.
Highly recommend.
