The White Cottage Snack Bar

Great ice cream in Woodstock, lots of flavors and fun combinations. Nice outdoor seating by the river, it's a must have for evening treat.

White Cottage is always a must during the Summer. Encountered a couple of rude workers, but the food..although really expensive...was great for a snack bar. The Clam Chowder needs more flavor, and not so soupy, but the whole belly clams are the best!

Stopped on a lazy Friday afternoon I sat by the Riverside swinging tables and enjoy the fish and chips. Thin crispy coating on the fish with thick crispy natural skin french fries. Generous portion enjoyed very much. Regarding counter staff, cell phone use should be discouraged in front of customers

Love the ice cream and milkshakes at this institution. They've rebuilt beautifully after the hurricane but it's still the iconic place my grandmother used to take us for ice cream so many years ago - only now it's open year round with indoor tables (still prefer the outdoor seating by the river though).

I've been coming here since I was a little girl. We used to get beautiful Softee ice cream here. Located in the same place-rebuilt after Hurricane Irene [2011] the only missing is its speed of service and friendly staff. As cashiers text-and I waited.i noticed only a few cars. This is the first summer like day in the 70's. This place used to be packed. Stop and sit a while. Enjoy a slower pace and old fashioned food and memories.
