“Really enjoyed our third stay with Heather at the Village Inn of Woodstock - this place is THE BEST!!! It's like walking into a friend's home - warm, friendly and comfortable. Everything is classy, well kept and attention to detail is maintained throughout the entire Inn. Breakfast is always served with a smile and the freshest ingredients. The location of the Inn is close to the center of the village while also being close to a wonderfully redone East End park with a walking trail, picnic tables and places to meditate or just sit by the river. This time we had the pleasure of meeting Alice who was running the Inn and cooking while Heather was away. Alice and the rest of the staff did an AMAZING job taking care of all of us - they were so willing to do whatever we needed to make our stay a great one- customizing food and drinks for all guests and taking the time to socialize with us after all their work was done. Family in Vermont - a home away from home is how we feel about everyone and everything at this great place!!”

“This is a cute little ice cream/gift shop in the middle of downtown Woodstock, Vermont! We stopped in quickly today to try their maple creemee - it was excellent! I’ve tried many maple creemees across Vermont and this was right up there with the best. If you’re wanting to try a great maple creemee, come here! They also have other ice cream, lots of maple and Vermont-themed snacks and treats, drink options, some clothing, and more gift items. It’s a really cute store and I’m happy we stopped in. I do have to say it seemed like the guy behind the counter was having a really bad day (not very friendly and was trying to rush us to pay and get out) but hey, at least the ice cream was very good. I’ll definitely be coming back purely because the creemee was so good!! Try this place out if you’re here in Woodstock and have a sweet tooth!”

“Mon Vert Cafe is in a great location. It’s a very cute and homey cafe. Their coffee is good and they also offer an extensive tea menu. I had the French toast and classic breakfast sandwich for take out and they were both okay. I did have to wait awhile to get my order and I did have to drive a bit so I’m sure if I had ate it on the spot it would’ve been fine. One thing I can rave about though is their chocolate croissant. It is honestly the best choco croissant I ever had. The breading is so delicious and the chocolate compliments it so well. I had to go back and purchase an extra croissant bc I knew I wouldn’t want to split it with my boyfriend. I’ll definitely be back.”

“I had The Local without meat and added a avocado. Very good vegetarian option The croissant tasted fresh. Also I had the waffle with berries, a generous portion of the barriers. They have all variations of espresso drinks but I only had drip coffee which was decent. Be prepared for long line on Saturday morning.”

“Found this little gem in a rush to get food while passing through at night; it was the only place still open. The patio overlooks a small pond, and while it's not my favourite view, it's quite pretty. Food was astounding, but unfortunately too filling. Waitress was very kind. Inside, it's hard not to fall in love with the americana decor.”

“The food is good. It was hard to tell if they were open or not. Lighting was poor. Restrooms are very cold inside. Overall if you are in need of a quick bite it will suffice”

“Great option for vegan and vegetarian. Although not a vegan place, it is very vegan/vegetarian friendly. The owner has several family members who are vegan so is very welcoming to vegans, many of the dishes have vegan options even such that aren't clearly marked as such. The vegan spring roll are great as well as the dumplings, the rice and noodles dishes we had were great. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and makes the stay pleasant and enjoyable. All in all this is an excellent option for any vegan traveling around.”

“Another one of my go-to places in the Woodstock area. The greatest thing is it's open 24 hours a day. Where else can you go in Vermont at 3 am and get a coffee? They have at least 20 kinds of coffee all hot and some iced. Plenty of snacks and reading materials to sit in the back and relax for awhile.”

“Wow. This restaurant is SO special. We are both vegetarians and they made off-menu dishes for us that were so beautiful, dynamic and satisfying. Chef Matt delivers every dish personally to your table and explains where he foraged for your food. The whole staff is knowledgeable and food-obsessed, but humble and genuine. Definitely go.”

“love love love love ! The food was undoubtedly fresh and deliciously scrumptious! We scraped every bite from our bowls, definitely making it easier to wash that night! We had the lobster special, crab & lobster cakes, fried calamari, scallop linguine, and black pasta alfredo style with shrimp....and now my mouth is watering! I recommend making a reservation to ensure you can participate in the deliciousness of the food and kindness of the establishment!”

“Excellent food, drinks and service from the bartender and hostess. Don't make the same mistake that I did in trying to park by going down the driveway next to the restaurant, you'll get trapped. Make a reservation in advance before coming!”

“The folks here at Mountain Creamery make really delicious food. Everything in my roast beef sandwich was fresh & tasty. Desert lasted hours! Check out the size of that chocolate chip cookie! Next time, I want some of that great ice cream that everyone else goes in there for :)”

“My husband and I went to the Bridgewater diner today for lunch. It was great. The lunch we had was a lot of food and the food was excellent. The crew is very nice and I love the comfortable seating. They have a nice variety of food, also. We will go again. Joyce and Stan Olmsted”

“We had a wonderful mid-morning Sunday breakfast. The food selection was great and we enjoyed a mixture of eggs, french toast, home fries and other goodies -- see my food selfie picture. All cooked perfectly, we took our time and the folks were friendly and helpful. Unlimited coffee, and a great price.”

“Love the ice cream and milkshakes at this institution. They've rebuilt beautifully after the hurricane but it's still the iconic place my grandmother used to take us for ice cream so many years ago - only now it's open year round with indoor tables (still prefer the outdoor seating by the river though).”

“What an amazing place to eat and stay. After one of the best meals of my life, with fantastic wine pairings, I just had to go upstairs - no need for a designated driver. As a bed and breakfast, the Lincoln Inn was a total success. This was a mother daughters weekend, and we needed a room for 3. However, after we decided to eat a tasting menu at Lincoln Inn, after reading stellar reviews, I took the chance and called the proprieters to see if they had an accommodation for 3, which they did. It was a charming cozy room with a double and a single bed, all with comfortable mattresses. The closet was small but it existed and was sufficient for a weekend's clothes. Bottled water was provided daily and there were chocolate cookies (homemade) to greet us. Again the bathroom was cozy but lots of hot water, Each morning was a full breakfast cooked perfectly by their reknowned chef Jevgenija Saramova. For more info google Lincoln Inn Forbes Larry Olmstead - far more eloquent than I, and spot on in his review. The eggs were perfect no matter how we asked for them to be prepared, poached, fried and scrambled. We could specify exactly which fruit in the fruit bowl and vegetables in the scramble. The menu was simple, locally sourced and perfectly prepared. The seven course tasting menu was anything but simple, sourced worldwide (wagyu beef flown in from Japan etc) although I'm sure much of it was from local farms, beautifully presented, and paired with the unusual wines that complemented each course perfectly. The first course was Langoustine with Caviar, followed by Hamachi Crudo, then a perfect Seared Scallop with Saffron Emulsion and Yuzo Air. I can't really describe how beautiful each course was, accompanied by sauces and garnishes that balanced each dish. After serving Morels with Pistachio and Pineapple, we were served Pigeon Breast and then Wagyu Beef with Escargots. Dessert was a perfect Chocolate Bavarois accompanied by Strawberry Sherbet. I will definitely be going back.”

“Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, absolute New England charm! Easy, simple, healthy menus of fresh salads and fire roasted pizzas and can't forget to mention the first class apps and wine list. Located at Kedron Valley Inn in South Woodstock vt.”
