Quite possibly the best BBQ in central VA. Prices are VERY reasonable, portions are generous, staff is friendly. Be sure to get the Pork Pim sandwich - BBQ pork with homemade pimento cheese - incredible!

Yes of course the barbecue is amazing, but let me tell you about their banana pudding, Go grab you some !! Don't leave without it! The Bend BBQ is a perfect family-friendly establishment, and it's a perfect addition to the small town of Scottsville. They are some BBQ-loving folks who are extremely dedicated to making some excellent food. I would add a picture but my food is all gone !

We've only tried it once but we're sure to become regulars. The brisket, pork BBQ, cornbread, mac & cheese, and banana pudding were all on point. Great for feeding a crowd and leftovers were just as good the next day. The owner answered the phone to take our order and helped us when we picked up. Couldn't have been more pleasant. A gem in Scottsville!

Food:
The food is of great quality, fresh, and truly local after having a conversation with the owners. Their menu offers brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. At the visit I also tried the lox which was extremely tender. Overall, food is worth the journey or walk down the strip and they do close once food is all sold so get there early!

Setting:
We did take a day trip and the restaurant is located in a very small town so being a hole in the wall would not be an exaggeration. The space is intimate, quaint, and warming. The shop is operated by a couple who are very sweet. As of now, there isn’t seating inside.

Def will visit again.
