“This place is just amazing. I ordered Easter baskets for my kids while we were all home on quarantine. They were delivered in the middle of the night, on the eve of Easter, just like the Easter bunny would have done. The baskets were FULL of great stuff and my kids were absolutely delighted. It really touched me how they went around town delivering Easter baskets late at night, in the middle of a pandemic. Wonderful company. Wonderful people.”

“Wings were cooked well. Nice and crispy. I haven’t found many places that cook them like in upstate NY. Wings themselves were a bit light on meat. I prefer them meatier. I’m not a skinny dude but I put away 16 wings no problem. Sauce was good. Not overly spice. I won’t get the garlic Parmesan buffalo. It was good just not my jam. Hot ones was closer to a medium than a real spicy hot. Which was good because I don’t love blazing hot wings. Fries were very good. Store was clean, although it just opened. I don’t see it being an issues. Staff friendly. Overall, I’ll be going back.”

“Love love LOVE this place. It rivals the best Indian restaurants we've eaten at around the world (never in India though). Very classy restaurant, and the food is top notch! The naan is absolutely delicious. I usually order korma and/or shrimp appetizer and cauliflower appetizer. Our excellent waiter recommended a new appetizer to try, which we loved. We were too stuffed for dessert, but this is one of the few Indian restaurants where the dessert actually tempted me. It was our first time to sit inside the restaurant since covid and they nicely spread out all the customers. Sorry to say, but the other Indian restaurants in town can't hold a candle to Kanak!”

“Went to this location during opening weekend back in February and was immediately reminded why I like BurgerFi more than Shake Shack. The burgers were done perfectly and the urban style fries were great as always! The only down side is this location does not have concretes but other than that I loved it. BurgerFi really should reopen this location or consider opening locations in Richmond so I don't have to drive to Woodbridge or NC to get some BurgerFi!”

“I'm not saying Selvedge Brewing is my new favorite brewery in Cville, but I think it might be my new favorite brewery in Cville. The menu is fresh, affordable, and fancy. As an avid meat eater, I'm open to alternatives, and I am still thinking about the smoked mushroom tacos I enjoyed alongside an Italian pilsner. The mushrooms were tender, filling, and freaking delicious. It's like I want to go back and order other items, but I also want to order more of those bomb-A tacos! The atmosphere is unique and fun, the beers are on point, and I'm over here raving about mushrooms. Well done, Selvedge! Can't wait to go back.”

“I can’t deny this was a special experience. The inn was very interesting and we would love to go stay there sometime. Dining at 1799 was interesting and had a very unique Ora with carefully selected music and decor. Service was especially friendly and made us feel very welcome. The only downfall to our dining experience was the dinner itself. Staged like a 3 course meal, we paid for a fancy dinner with no flavor and only got an entree. We both ordered the steak and unfortunately it was hard to chew and the sides had very little flavor - it was plated like a small plate, but put on a really large plate that took up the entire table. I should have taken a picture - but imagine two small to medium cuts or steak put on opposite sides of the plate with a smear of flavorless potatoes in the middle and some other small dollops of something or other that also had no flavor. So, there was that. It’s saving grace was the excellent red wine that my husband cleverly paired with it, and the really tasty flatbread (it was really a cracker) but tasted amazing.”

“Great hotel and restaurant but terrible for an indoor wedding venue unless your guest list is under 100. We were lied to by Clifton management at the beginning that they could comfortably accommodate a reception of 150 people indoors. It would have been impossible but good weather in March saved the day since the entire cocktail hour had to be moved outdoors at the last minute. Also an unexpected management change 10 days before the wedding completely caught us off guard. Some members of the new team were very professional and others were not. I would give the reception 4 stars. The planning process with The Clifton was a 1 especially near the end. On a positive note, the place is beautiful, the food fantastic, and the staff and service were lovely. No qualms about Clifton as a hotel and restaurant!”

“Beautiful place to have a nice delicious meal. Chelsea was fun and helpful in choosing my lunch since I'd never been there before. I chose the Reuben sandwich. Yum! The beef was so tender and savory and it was chopped and piled on! Yum! Yum! My husband got the burger with onion rings. The onion rings were so good. I didn't taste his burger but he said it was good too. I really loved the decor and atmosphere. Very high ceilings and elaborate trim around the large windows. Lots of seating and perfect for large parties. A nice spacious banquet room on second floor which is available for events. Overall, a wonderful experience.”

She waited on the tables all around us (which seemed to be regulars) but never acknowledged us again. “Lovely little coffee shop in the middle is Scottsville! My camping group stopped here after we left our camp sites and got some coffee and books!
