la Madeleine French Bakery & Café Reston

Decided to try for a light dinner and desert. Place has no service. You order and get your own utensils and they bring the food out to you. The food was mediocre. You can tell it’s all just reheated. The produce aren’t as fresh as they should be. The salad was good*
Hot chocolate taste like regular nestle/hot water mix... the 5$ slices of cake - were ok- I would compare them more to ikea deserts and not a French bakery pastries.
The decor in the restaurant is nice and clean.
I will probably not come back.

This is a nice cozy place. Great location for a quick bite. The quiche and croissants are amazingly good. The staff is very unfriendly and look miserable. We found a hair in an item and it was almost as if the employees were trying to hide it from the manager. Things happen but own it!! The parking lot is extremely crowded all the time so parking is a challenge.

Love their variety of desserts and cafe items! The Beef and Parmesan Potatoes are a great alternative to soup when you want to warm up ... they even have a fireplace inside!

Hopefully the Reston Town Center property managers don’t start charging for parking - it’s currently free!

Most of the staff is really friendly, and the food was great. It was a really nice place! I especially liked the tomato basil.

I love the ambiance and the feel! Everything is well priced. Unfortunately it's not the best cup of coffee I've ever had. Haven't eaten any of the food. Staff is really warm and welcoming, even when they are tired. Nice escape if you need a few minutes to sit and recuperate from the day. The patio is lovely on a sunny day as well.
