Most recently my almost too friendly waiter recommended the daily special with talapia and shrimp grilled with squash. It was great and the leftovers made a good lunch the next day. “I have been coming here for many years. The food has always been amazing, but the inside was run down. Not anymore! Recently they renovated the place and also went to a digital menu screen. The chicken here is cooked perfectly. Juicy but not greasy. The skin is crisp but not charred. The white sauce is to die for and the food comes up hot and fast. “This place is awesome. The chicken tacos are the greatest lunch food I have ever had. They redefine tacos and you get 3 huge tacos and a side for 7 bucks. The Burrito Loco is about the size of a grown man's forearm, so make sure you're hungry if you decide to eat here, and the tacos were amazing. Definitely will be coming back!”

“One of our family's favorite restaurants, from our 3-year-old to our teenager to my wife and I. I see a recent review saying the place isn't as good under the new management and I really disagree. The food is just as good and I like the new menu items, especially the ramen. Let's be honest; as much as we have always loved Matsui, their service has never been their selling point. The staff has always been very friendly but not all that attentive. You have to flag waiters down when you want something and sometimes give them a reminder. I can be particular about service but it's never bothered me at Matsui. I guess because they have always treated me and my family very kindly. The owners usually come out to say hi and make sure we enjoyed the meal and we just feel welcome. I wish the new owners much luck and success.”
