The fireplace!
No joke it was worth the trip just to enjoy a glass of wine next to this work of art.
For dinner, I had the blackened snapper with grilled shrimp. Yes it was every bit as good as it sounds
We recently hosted an 80th birthday party for 10 women at Cedar Knoll. Everything was superb! Chef Andrew worked with me to create a chef's tasting menu and even added a wine pairing for each course. Sophie, our server was incredible! The food was amazing and they even printed special menus with the birthday girl's name. The view was spectacular and I cannot thank Cedar Knoll enough for giving us such a beautiful experience!
I want to thank Cedar Knoll for the absolutely exquisite dining experience they provided for us to celebrate our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. The groom’s dinner was everything we could have hoped for and more; the room was warm and inviting, the champagne was very good, and the food and whiskey/wine pairings were excellent! The group all had a wonderful evening; we heard several times over the following days how much everyone enjoyed themselves. I am so happy I found you and appreciate your help in working to make this such a memorable evening! I look forward to dining with you again in the future and highly recommend your establishment to those looking for something far above the typical dining experience!
This is a great place to learn a bit of history. . . My husband and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary with a dinner here. The food flavors blended marvelously. I started off with the duck crepes. I love duck, and the smokey flavor was magnificent, together with the crepe and accompaniments. I had the snapper. Again, the accompaniments blended flavors so well. . . the risotto with raisins, the sweet peppers, and more. My husband had an interesting salad and the venison, which looked amazing. We shared a chocolate pecan tart for dessert. It was very rich, and the orange flavor was a cheerful surprise! The service was nearly impeccable. The atmosphere was very inviting. I recommend this place for cozy intimate dining.
The place has great atmosphere and is cozy. Outdoor seating can be reserved. Staff was very friendly and food was good. It was cool to see part of the old historic log building in one of the rooms. The view of the river was great but traffic can be a little loud.
