“Lovely little place with a nice clean design and atmosphere. It’s primarily a beer bar but also had a sneaky good whisky collection. The beer list has been perfectly selected every time I’ve gone. Excellent balance between light/heavy and local/out of town beers. The staff always has a suggestion as well based on your favorite beers. The food. This is what sets it apart. Taiwanese Street food is the PERFECT match for the beer. Popcorn chicken, tornado fries, scallion pancake, shrimp garlic noodles, potstickers, I could go on. Just get everything.”

“Loved it ! I had what was essentially a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato. It was delicious! Way bigger than I expected, and to give you a good amount of fries which can sometimes be a problem. The server Jose was very nice and friendly. I stayed for over an hour, because I was waiting for a coworker to come so that we could leave together. The whole time Jose was very attentive to me and always making sure that I didn't need anything else and that if I did he was available. Overall a great experience. My only issue was that if you wanted more soda, you had to ask for it they did not really do a good job of looking at your glass and asking if you needed more. But the service was so fantastic I did not mind”

“Went there on Saturday. The only menu they had was a restaurant week menu. Initially I was concerned as I feared that they may still be doing restaurant week to get rid of old product. I couldn't tell either way. The food was amazing. I had the tomato mozzarella tower, an amazing chicken entree that included fontina cheese, and a light chocolate mousse with frangelico per the waiter's suggestion. But food is food and drinks are drinks. What set this apart was the fact that I was on a first date with a lady I hadn't met ... yet. Once she arrived and stole the room, the waiter, a fellow Italian, became the epitome of a wing man. The entire staff was polite and we were checked on by various people. Years from now I won't recall the food but I'll never forget this night. Thank you for the 5 star experience!”

“Drove by and saw the sign, never had Uyghur cuisine, it was a nice surprise. Host and server was nice, made some recommendations. Food came out quick and I was enjoying my meal. I really do enjoy cozy family run places like this. Had chicken and lamb kabob as well as the lamb Laghman, it was delicious. Kabobs were really juicy and packed with favor. I’m not a big noodle fan but it was good. Will definitely come back and try the other items on the menu.”

“My husband and I moved to the area in November. We love seafood and typically drive north or to D.C for our fix. But when I came across Captian Pell's we decided to give it a try. Considering we wanted a place "close to home". The first issue would be the pricing. What was stated online and in the establishment were to different prices. I ordered the snow/blue crabs. The snow crabs were tasty despite them not having ole bay on them. The blue crabs were horrible. The blue crabs tasted old and were "warm" not hot. We also ordered hush puppies and mozzarella sticks. The puppies were delicious but the mozzarella sticks were over breaded. Overall there was great customer service with our server.”

“I really had high hopes for this place, after my first experience at their LAX location. Must say ... this particular location is the complete opposite of what I received and experienced in LA. How are “fresh” batch of fries served cold? The flavor was there ... garlic and olive oil tasted fantastic. But ... cold fries? My burger was much better. I had the Classic Smash black bean burger: Pattie was hot, tasted fresh, and tasted pretty good. Not too much sauce, although disappointed that avocado was served in a little plastic cup rather than on the burger itself. One negative of the burger: The bun was cold. That is unacceptable, as the cold bun really took away from the rest of the burger. Again, the flavor was there ... bread has good flavor just odd texture and feel because it was so cold. There was a pallet of what looked like shelf or table parts, right next to the seating area and mere feet from the entrance. Tacky and ugly.”
