“Stumbled upon this place when driving out to the wineries and I'm So thankful I did! The breakfast biscuit sandwich is super fresh and tasty and by god the PIES!! I almost bought the whole place out. The decor and ambiance was modern farmhouse clique and I love it. I highly recommend stopping in!”

“My friend and I, who live 90 minutes apart, wanted to meet and have coffee. We picked Old Salem Cafe because it was centrally located; neither of us had been there before. Our plan was to meet for an hour or so, drink some coffee and be on our way. I decided to bring the last of my homemade cherry cake for my friend to try. The waitress gave me a dirty look and then scolded us for bringing our own food! Now, I understand that this place makes their money by serving food and drink, so on the surface, I’m sympathetic to people bringing food to avoid buying food. But, that is not what we did. We never planned to buy food (it was 10am), I had just a small sample to share with my friend. The waitress made an assumption that was not true and was rude to us for no good reason. I ordered another cup of coffee and left a normal tip. The coffee was fine. The outside sitting area was nice. I won’t say that I will never visit this place again, but I won’t go out of my way to visit there again. I guess the waitress would have been happier if we would’ve met in a park and not purchased anything from Old Salem Cafe; maybe that is what we will do next time.”
