Words cannot describe the joy and peace that visited my spirit upon entering this pleasant domain. Beer, playgrounds, and cornhole. What else is there to say?
Kids had a great time picking strawberries. Now what to do with 8lbs.
This place is such an amazing find! In quarantine I was looking for a fun different place to go. First off the food here is amazing. I got fries and a burger and you could tell eveything was fresh and made on the spot. Also, what a good farmers market full of goodies! There was your basic things like fruits and veggies then there was cool finds like flavored sauces, cheeses, dips, etc. The service was great the view was great, and the food was delicious. What more can you ask for? Also, great play areas for kids! Will be back with my family in tow!
My son's preschool did a field trip here today and we just loved it. It was a beautiful day to go out there. Miss Clara talked about the farm and the stages of how an apple grows. We did a hay ride and got to see all the different trees they grow. During the ride we asked Miss Clara lots of questions about the farm. We stopped at the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin. Then we were able to taste different apples and take some home plus some apple juice. The kids had a great time playing on the playground especially the big combine machine with the big slide. We will return to this farm. They did a great job with this group of children. They also have a lot of great photo opportunities.
Grown ups had the chance to get a nice lunch there too.
I've passed this place a few times over the past few months and never stopped. Today I made the decision to stop and boy am I glad I did! Though I will say their fruit selection is not huge, especially when compared to the Virginia Farm Market they have a wide selection of other locally sourced products. Some surprising inclusions were cold beverages made locally just across the border in West Virginia, and a varied selection of local meats including lamb, beef, chicken, and more. They also have lots of vegetables, jellies/jams, sauces, spices, pies, other baked goods, and even frozen yogurt. This place is definitely worth a stop and I'll be back in the very near future.
