“Awesome bbq! As a North Carolina native It's so hard to find any in Virginia that holds a candle to what I grew up with. The pulled pork here is delicious eastern NC style with just the right amount of vinegar sauce mixed in, and makes for a sandwich that is just right. The chef let us try a sample of the brisket and it was cooked perfectly with a tasty black pepper rub. Everyone there was so nice too. Definitely earned a "favorite" on my map!”

“Warning this is lengthy. First time here & will definitely be back. We ordered large Oxtail w Rice & Peas and Small Curry Chicken w Rice and Peas with a side of Ripe Plantain. The meal comes w cabbage which is seasoned & cooked to perfection. She took her time getting the order down and it was worth the wait. The portiobs were large & the food was delicious. We overheard her telling another Customer their Coco bread would be ready shortly because they do not put them out front with beef patties or they would dry out. It was worth the wait ( they were busy) for her to put our dishes together.”

“It's a nice gas station. The owners are not familiar with how the Shell's Fuel Rewards system is, other than that they're very friendly and helpful. I like filling up here because if you use your Fuel Rewads card at the pump, you get $0.25 off every gallon gas on your next fill up. The basic, and middle car washes do the job very well.”

“If you love fried chicken sandwiches, especially ones that can pack the heat, you've got to try this place. Just be careful which spice level you choose. I have a very high tolerance for spice and spice level "hot" was really spicy for me. I doubt most people could've eaten it, but I enjoyed the burn. I may try medium next time just to compare. The size of the chicken breast is really big and the slaw, pickles, and sauce compliment it well. I recommend ordering online to minimize wait time. There are a few tables inside, but it's definitely more of a take-out place. I hope this place does well because it's a nice addition to the area.”

“Nice people and good service but I wasn’t impressed with the actual food. Pork Gyoza was good the rolls not so much. I then had a massive allergic reaction even though nothing listed should have triggered that for me. Also we ordered a few rolls and each tasted the same. Lastly their spicy fish tastes like the spice they mix it with but not anything like tuna or salmon. For the prices I’ll be choosing elsewhere unfortunately”

“Karaoke 🎤 live and excellent environment here in Richmond. We went as grown up couples(family) and had an awesome time. The owners and staff were spectacular. We kept singing music in Spanish and everybody became part of the show and had a blast. We were playing 🎱 too!! Drinks and food were also super good. “I am very glad we happened to stop in and try Hangry Joe's while we were in the area shopping. The chicken sandwich was very tasty and the portion size was more than adequate. The waffle fries are tasty and the dipping sauce for the fries is delicious. There are a plentiful amount of seating options, so if you can sit down and enjoy your meal as soon as you get it. The staff is friendly and inviting. If you are in the Short Pump area, stop in and try it.”
