Gabriel Archer Tavern

Our waitress Caroline was awesome. She was definitely the star of the show. She was attentive despite having a large family with kids. She even prepared an "apple juice" flight so that the kids could feel like the adults. Wonderful job Caroline and thanks for going the extra mile

The food was great. The staff is under trained. The waitress brought us a bottle of wine and then realized she had no idea how to open it. They also got 3 of the 6 orders wrong. That being said they were nice and got it fixed quick.

My sister and I visited for a late lunch. Ordered the Country Platter, lamb sliders and white wine flights. Hospitality and service were great. Lamb sliders were cooked a perfect medium well, very nice. We will make this a tradition as the experience deserves that status.

Gabriel Archer Tavern is located on the property of Williamsburg Winery. The food selection is limited but varied. The wait staff is always helpful pairing wine with your selection. In nice weather there is an outdoor patio as well as the indoor tables which look out to the vineyards.

Every year, after visiting the vineyard, we go to the tavern for lunch. The tavern is very cozy with full window views of the vines. The service is always outstanding and the food, just amazing. You know that you are being taken care of by well trained chefs, just by the presentation of the foods (see my pics) And of course the taste, just delicious. Christian, our waiter was great as well.

I had the crab and corn soup which was deliciously topped with fresh cilantro. Truly amazing. Then I had the lamb sliders, which were out of this world!! My wife had the chicken tacos, which she enjoyed thoroughly.

The shrimp tacos were also delicious as well, the burger was on fire delicious and the salad was a wonderful blend of arugula, wheat berries and pumpkin seeds topped with a nice crab cake.

A must visit!
