Love the atmosphere, the layout and all the decors. Service was good- quick and efficient although I wasn’t given enough information about who would do the cooking. Tried a few different dishes. The tofu soup with seafood and the pancake were awesome! Portion size was large. The bite sized beef rib meat was good, but a small portion of it was a bit too chewy. Overall it’s a very good Korean bbq restaurant in the area.
We waited a long time for Honey Pig Ashburn to open and, after many years of driving to Centreville, we love having a location so much closer to home! Also glad to see them so busy (but not overly busy) and getting a lot of diners. The service is excellent, and the ambiance is nice. More sleek and new than you’ll be used to compared to other locations that have been open for a long time. Despite having a full house, we didn’t have to wait for a seat, and service was fast. Give it a try!
Ashburn's wait is over! Honey Pig BBQ has arrived!
As a seasoned Honey Pig fan (Centreville location, represent!), I was thrilled to try their newest spot in Ashburn. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
The ambiance is perfect for a fun and flavorful Korean BBQ experience. We dove straight into their classics: sizzling spicy pork belly, melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket, and savory bulgogi. The seafood pancake was a crispy delight, and the soju and beer combo kept everything refreshingly balanced.
Honestly, we left feeling "happy as a pig in mud" (pun intended!). If you're looking for a delicious Korean BBQ in Ashburn, Honey Pig is a must-try!
This spot recently opened and my family and I decided to try it. The customer service was great. We were immediately greeted and escorted to a table. The tables are fairly small with small chairs that were quite different than most restaurant chairs. The only way I can describe them were like small tiny stools where the seat cushion lifts up for you to store purses and jackets. The menu selection and pricing was pretty much what I expected, given the area (we recently moved here from Georgia and everything is so expensive here). You order single selection items or pay for one of their 3 combo options. I’m usually use to these places being an AYCE but this one is not. Although it wasn’t an AYCE, it still comes with a good amount of meat for each order. They have mostly beef and pork options with a small amount of seafood Choices and 1 maybe 2 chicken options.
We went with the boneless beef rib, spicy pork belly and pork kalbi. The boneless beef rib was alright. Not seasoned and very bland. The spicy pork belly was so delicious as was the pork kalbi. They completely fill the small tables with all the sides and there’s plenty of it. The servers were very kind and spoke with my son while we ate asking if he liked the food. I was expecting them to bring out the meats and then we would cook them ourselves, however they actually cooked it and cut it up for us. It was empty when we first arrived and ordered but it quickly got busy. Overall it was a solid 7/10. I do wish the tables and chairs were bigger. We felt like there was not enough table space for everything they bring out but we would try it again.
We heard that Honey Pig Ashburn was having their grand opening today, January 20, 2024. We live close by, and we could not pass up the opportunity to help celebrate. We've been fans of Honey Pig ever since we first visited their Annandale location several years ago, and I have to say our experience was nothing short of amazing and what you would expect from a Korean BBQ restaurant. Staff were friendly and worked as a team to make sure everyone was served properly. There isn't an all you can eat option, but they do have combos of an assortment of meats to make ordering a little easier. Our go-to is the brisket and thin sliced pork belly, but the kalbi cuts are great as well. The banchan was great, and the steamed egg and soybean soup were hearty and delicious. Overall, we left satisfied and happy, knowing that Honey Pig is now within minutes of our house. We even got photos with the owner herself. We're definitely looking forward to visiting again soon!
