    A taste of Chennai in Ashburn. I have been a big fan of the Chennai Express in Chantilly for the taste of what the chef delivers, but the distance is always a demotivator. Now, I was skeptical of the quality with a opening of a branch in the back of my woods, but was proven wrong : it rocks. Clean menu. Attentive staff. Excellent taste. The spice, smells and ambience of Chennai has been recreated successfully. The reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is simple : it isn't a proper sit down place and tends to resemble it's older sister in Chantilly, the walls can be adorned with some Chennai sights rather than Buddha motifs!

    Very nice place, peaceful environment.
    Try thalapakatti goat biryani on weekends.
    They have weekend (SAT/SUN) breakfast as well...
    Great range of vegetarian options.
