Mermaid Winery

We went for the wine tasting and the staff was wonderful and full of conversation about the wines. The cost of the wine on the menu was misleading, and we ended up paying more than expected. The reisling was one of our favorites.

Fantastic birthday celebration. Delicious wine flights. My favorites were the Mermaid wines. Delicious and well made. The place is very romantic and cute. I will go back in a heart beat to free wine tastings Friday’s or food during happy hr. The baked Brie was amazing. So good.

Jessie is amazing. Let me tell you, if you are looking for a good wine, a wine to take you back, a wine to make you feel at home, Jessie and Mermaid Winery know where it's at. Great place, great confidence in staff, and amazing selection.

Wonderful atmosphere and staff! Great wines! Stopped in for the free tasting and stayed for happy hour. The appetizers during this time was limited but greatly paired with a nice wine suggested by Sam. Parking is sparse and valet is forced (no other option) on weekends (including Friday during happy hour). I'll be back...

Definitely recommend! The restaurant isn't very large, but the atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a winery restaurant. Our fantastic server, Ryan, was very knowledgeable of their menu. He gave our group recommendations for food as well as wine. They had an abundance of wine to choose from and even had wine slushies! We all tried a variety from the menu and loved everything we ordered. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious. It was a slow evening so we even met the cook, Nick. He was polite and friendly as well. Overall the experience was delightful and I will definitely be returning when I visit Norfolk again.
