Very cool hip and upbeat Mexican themed restaurant bar in a trendy section of Richmond. Food is awesome - margarita's are great and this place is popular with friends, singles and families. A little bit of everything here - including a Southern California vibe in Richmond! See Mackenzie on Friday and Saturday days or any of her co-workers at the bar for excellent service!
What they make is delicious, but don't go thinking you will have typical options. Three salsas are great, but chips left a bit to be desired. Pork was perfect.
Cool vibe and very good tacos. We had 5 different types of tacos and they were all excellent and authentic in my humble opinion. You have to order the salsa. All three varieties were great.
Our waitress was not very personable and I don't know what she had going on, but it was like she couldn't even look at us. Very wierd. She also disappeared for 10-20 minutes several times. Told this to a few coworkers who had been there before and they said, "oh yeah the food smacks but the service is always bad". So I guess I would recommend En Su Boca on the high quality of the food, as long as you are okay with less than satisfactory service.
The tacos are delicious, with flour tortillas and a variety of meat and vegetarian choices. They're also very polite in offering vegan options, i.e. removing cheese. The only downside is really slow service. Our waitress disappeared for the majority of the night and the tacos took forever to make. They were very busy, so it's best to get an appetizer to hold you off while you wait.
