El Jefe Taqueria - Salem

Visited here Sunday for lunch. Although they need better signage, they have a very nice deck, friendly staff, and good food. The waiter went above and beyond to make our son's lemonade (which was a bit too tart for him) into strawberry lemonade (which was just right). We definitely will be back.

I had the Nachos with shredded beef, and added slow roasted chicken for only $1! By far the best Nachos I've had. The place looks awesome and you can tell they put a lot of work into it. The service was also top-notch. Manager and waitress was very pleasant and attentive. I will highly recommend this place to anyone that hasn't been.

Excellent atmosphere. They fit in well with Salem. Friendly management and waiters. Karen is an excellent bartender. Allison is a very good waitress. Good job El Jefe.

Excellent, relaxed, inside and out seating. Great music, not too loud. Good food, made as you like it, and very friendly staff. Outside fireplace is a very nice feature.

I was very impressed with my first visit here, not only on the quality of the food but our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients since I have strict dietary restrictions. The prices weren't too bad. Great atmosphere and great location in downtown Salem. Highly recommend. They also have tables outside with a fire pit.
