The General Public

My mom and I decided to come here, and we were very pleased with the service. The waitress was super friendly and courteous. Best of all, the food was very delicious and very affordable. We will come back soon to try some more good food.

I visited The General Public for the first time today for lunch and it definitely won’t be the last time! The food was delicious and made to order! The staff was friendly and attentive to all customers as they entered the door! I can’t wait to explore the menu! If you are looking for great food, great service, and a great atmosphere, The General Public is where it’s at!!!

The food is so good, very good quality ingredients. I really love the decor because it is clean and that is good because good food takes a while to make. So it's a great place to have dinner with your family and spend a little time talking. So great to have something I would have to drive to Norfolk for normally. Great culture. Thank you so much! I'm from New York and live close by and have been dying not to have to drive so far for good food.oh and great prices that's why I'll go back!

Delicious!!! I've come here three times now and each time has been a great experience. Great food and nice people who work here. A very comfortable atmosphere. My personal favorite menu items are the 'Public bowls'. What a wonderful gem to add to the heart of Suffolk!

Ladies and gents I would like to express how much I enjoyed this great experience with this wonderful restaurant. First of all the owner and the chief are hands down some of the nicest people I've ever met. Very personable and friendly. I actually had the privilege of talking with both of them for a good minute. Talking with them about their restaurant and the absolutely fantastic food that they serve. Their hamburgers are very tasty and will surely surprise you that's for sure. High quality meat and seasoned just right. Their deserts are simply exquisite and you can tell that they put a lot of love and passion into these delicious treats. I can definitely say the bread pudding was the best I have ever tasted. Very different but exciting flavor for your tastebuds. You will not go wrong with choosing this establishment to fill your belly and tame your hunger.
