1608 Crafthouse

Great local spot! We both got the award winning bacon burger which was cooked perfectly and delicious. However the great and weekly menu made it tricky to decide what to order with so many mouth watering options. Super friendly service and we sat in the nice outdoor patio which was also lovely. A must go to spot!

Just left this place. I've eaten here a few times and always try to get something different. It's always fantastic. Tonight our appetizer was the tomato toast it was so delicious and fresh. Then my main course was the scallops and grits. It was spectacular! The grits there are always perfect no matter what dish I've had them in. The scallops were so good it's going to be hard to top them. To top off a super dinner our waiter Dave was beyond amazing. He was so knowledgeable. He's such an asset to this restaurant and my new favorite waiter. Looking forward to going to brunch there soon.

Amazing food and drinks. Awesome beer! Love the ardent stout beer. The lamb burger is delicious. Pork shoulder is tasty. Staff are super nice. Service is quick. Food came out perfect. Even the salad and dressing was amazing! Definitely coming back to try more dishes!

Incredible food! Their dishes never disappoint! We have tried so many new things here and have loved it all! Such a creative chef! The beer selection is also superb! A wide variety on tap and bottled and supportive of local breweries!
I also highly recommend signing up for one of their exclusive beer dinners if you haven't before! A great deal and always a fantastic meal!

1608 Crafthouse is a dependable favorite. They feature an expansive beer, wine, and cocktail selection along with excellent and innovative menu options. 1608 regularly features raw oysters from a number of providers and sources many of it's ingredients locally. It is a gem of a restaurant tucked into an unpretentious shopping center.

While dishes change regularly I highly recommend the following.
Raw oysters, buy a selection of any available and compare/contrast.
Oxtail Poutine, cheese+meat+gravy+crispy delicious potatoes.
Shrimp, scallops, and grits.
House ground beef or pork burger.
Pimento. You're in the south, enjoy it with the homemade cracklings.

The giant pretzel is always a hit at a table.
