New River Taphouse

This was my first visit to New Rover Taphouse, I was extremely impressed with their beer, whiskey & bourbon lists. Service was very good during lunch and I was particularly impressed with the preparation of my "Dueling Filet Mignon". Perfect medium rare.

I ordered the shrimp & grits, as it was one of my Taphouse go to entrees, however; I did not realize they changed the recipe to include a BBQ sauce. When my meal was delivered, I was disappointed. The fault was totally on myself since I did not read the menu item description and therefore, would have discovered the recipe change. The manager on duty quickly allowed me to re-order a different entree and saved me from my disappointment. Thank you!

Loved this place. It is are new spot to go when we come to the beach. Food was amazing and I'm a chef who always thinks I can cook it better but this food was spot on. Also the have a great beer list

This place has really amazing food and service. I have ordered a bunch of stuff from here and I have never been disappointed! The atmosphere here is really nice and cozy! Its just an all around great place to try out.

What a great local spot! Classy yet relaxed atmosphere, and very good service. This restaurant was recommended by a co-worker, and I will definitely be coming back. The crab cakes were the best I've had around the Virginia Beach area. Oh and the house made boom bang sauce is incredible!
